On Monday, BJP MP Pragya Singh Thakur reached Bhopal from New Delhi via a SpiceJet plane. During this, she had trouble in the plane, on which she expressed displeasure in Bhopal. Seeking investigation in the case, she said that action should be taken against those who are responsible for it. She said, "I was traveling in a SpiceJet plane. There is a problem with my spinal cord and I was allotted 1A seat. I also paid extra for this. I was brought there on a wheelchair." In her statement, she further said, "The air hostess forbade me to sit there, 2 more people told me that this is an emergency seat, but nowhere it was written that this is an emergency seat. People thought I was showing my VIP status but I was traveling like a normal traveler. I had a pain in my back and later I complained to the Bhopal airport director." The airline on Sunday clarified that Thakur was being provided an alternate seat due to technical reasons, for which she was not ready. The flight was also delayed by 45 minutes in this exercise. Clarification was also given by the SpiceJet spokesperson on the entire matter. He told that Bombardier Q400 is used for Delhi-Bhopal flight. In this, the seats of the first line are not given to the wheelchair, and in the case of Pragya Singh Thakur, there was no demand of the wheelchair at the time of booking and the staff were unaware of who would sit there.
