Preparations Underway for MP Assembly Polls in Chhindwara District

In preparation for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh state assembly polls, the distribution of polling materials commenced in Chhindwara district. On Thursday, election officials received their respective materials for the scheduled Friday elections.

All polling parties have begun arriving and are undergoing initial procedures at the decoding center. Here, they decode information about their designated polling centers before moving to their designated tables. Each table is equipped with necessary forms and materials for verification purposes.

A dedicated counter has been established for the collection of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). Progress is smooth as confirmed by officials overseeing the process.

"After the cross-verification of forms and materials, election officials will install the MatPratishat app on their phones. Subsequently, they will be introduced to security personnel and dispatched to their respective polling stations," mentioned Tripathi.

She further informed that comprehensive training for all officials involved in the polls was completed across three sessions.

The district comprises seven assembly constituencies, including three Scheduled Tribe (ST) reserved seats and one Scheduled Caste (SC) reserved seat.

Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath is contesting from the Chhindwara assembly seat in this district for the upcoming polls.

Madhya Pradesh has a total of 56,057,521 electors, consisting of 28,782,261 males and 27,199,586 females. Polling is set to commence at 7 am and will conclude at 6 pm on Thursday.

The state is gearing up for the Friday elections with vote counting scheduled for December 3. Voters will elect representatives from 230 Assembly constituencies.
