Vilnius: On Wednesday, Vice President Joe Biden of the US expressed optimism that Turkiye will be able to purchase F-16 fighter jets from the US. As he was departing from the NATO summit in Lithuania, Biden made the remark to reporters. Turkiye has been looking to purchase F-16 fighter jets and modernization kits for its existing warplanes, which had previously been the main obstacle in Sweden's path to joining NATO.
