NEW DELHI: President Droupadi Murmu strongly denounced the recent terrorist attack on an Army convoy in Jammu and Kashmir, labeling it a "cowardly act" that warrants strong condemnation and decisive counter-measures. The attack occurred in the Badnota area of Kathua district, resulting in the deaths of five Army personnel and injuries to five others on Monday. This incident marks the fifth terrorist attack in the Jammu region within a month. In a statement posted on 'X', President Murmu expressed her condolences, stating, "My thoughts are with the families of the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the ongoing battle against terrorism in all its forms. I wish a speedy recovery to those who were injured." "The ambush on the Army convoy in Kathua district by terrorists is a reprehensible act that must be condemned firmly with effective counter-measures.
