New Delhi: President Ram Nath Kovind has approved Central Educational Institutions (Reservation in Teacher's Cadre) Ordinance 2019 which will restore 200-point roster system for faculty recruitment under which university will be considered a "unit" instead of departments or subjects. The UGC said in a letter to university vice-chancellors "Following the promulgation of the ordinance, the universities are directed to start recruitment process immediately,".
