President Kovind and Shah to visit Gujarat to inaugurate Motera Stadium tomorrow

Ahmedabad: President Ram Nath Kovind is going on a two-day Gujarat tour from today. President Kovind will take part in the third convocation of Gujarat Central University in Gandhinagar today. Union Home Minister Amit Shah can also be present in this program. He is going to reach Ahmedabad in a while.

Public Relations Officer of Gujarat Central University (CUG), Professor HB Patel said that President Ramnath Kovind will attend our third convocation as the Chief Guest on 23 February. The President will award degrees to 73 PhD students, 26 MPhil students, 121 postgraduate and 24 graduate students during the ceremony. After this, President Ramnath Kovind will inaugurate the Motera Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad on 24 February. Home Minister Amit Shah will also be present on this occasion. The third match of the four-match Test series between India and England will be played as a day-night test from Pink Ball on February 24 at Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Motera Stadium is spread over 63 acres. The stadium has a seating capacity of 1,10,000 spectators, more than the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Around 55,000 tickets have been put on sale for the next two Tests at the GCA Stadium. Recently, the knockout stage matches of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy were also held in Motera.
