President Kovind to meet PM Modi, big action may be taken on 'Punjab incident'

New Delhi: President Ram Nath Kovind has expressed concern over security lapses during PM Narendra Modi's visit to Punjab. He is scheduled to meet PM Modi soon. According to reports, the President is likely to meet PM Modi in the afternoon. A short while ago, the President had spoken to PM Modi about the Punjab incident and expressed concern.

In fact, PM Modi was on his way to a rally in Ferozepur in Punjab on Wednesday but the road was blocked due to protests on the way. Due to this, PM Modi's convoy remained stuck on the flyover for 15-20 minutes. He later had to cancel the rally and return from Punjab.

What did CM say Channi?

CM Channi says he was not aware that protesters were already camping on Moga Road where PM Modi's convoy stayed for 20 minutes. Ironically, the protesters were aware of every activity of PM Modi, while the Punjab Police itself was not aware of the protesters that they had jammed the flyover.

CM Charanjeet Singh Channi's double standards on the issue have also been seen. He said he did not go to pick up PM Modi because he has come in contact with corona infected people and hence is in isolation. While CM Channi was seen holding a press conference on Wednesday evening, that too without a mask.
