Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday visited Uttar Pradesh to laid down the foundation stone for Poorvanchal Expressway that is 340 km-long in Azamgarh. There while addressing the huge gathering he claimed that the project which connects the city to Eastern Uttar Pradesh including Barabanki, Amethi, Sultanpur, Faizabad, Ambedkar Nagar, Azamgarh, Mau and Ghazipur in the coming days will lead the state to greater heights. The expressway will also help to travel the major cities that are situated in Noida. For this PM Modi expressed: “ All the cities, towns and places falling in the route will experience a change.” The PM also appraises his party member and CM Yogi Adityanath-led state government while claiming that “BJP government is working to create an environment of development in UP. What Yogi Ji did towards putting a check on crime and corruption, bringing investments to the state and making business easier for small traders, is commendable,” The honorary also informed about some upcoming projects in the state as “We are working on not only working on the highway but also waterway and airway. Ships sailing from Varanasi to Haldia will take this entire region ahead on the path of industrial development. 12 airports are being developed under UDAN scheme,” PM Modi is also a politician in turn and obviously, in order to promote his party’s work, he will definitely pull others legs down. In the same attempt, while taking a jibe to the amalgamation of Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party and Mayawati’s Bahujan Samajwadi Party, he said “all those who would not look at one another in the eye earlier, have now come together only for 'Modi'.These people, out on bail, & the dynasty parties now want to create obstacles on your path to development.” The biggest rival of our PM that is Congress President Rahul Gandhi was also involved in his speech as he alleged his party to stop the development of Muslim women and other backward classes in the country. He said: “I have read in a newspaper that Congress President has said that Congress is a party of Muslims, I am not surprised by this. All I want to ask is, is their party only for Muslim men or for women too?” For the same Congress Spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala has denied such reports of Urdu National Daily about Rahul Gandhi remarks and claimed that opposition with this false attempt trying to halt the development of backward classes. PM Modi before the upcoming polls is also scheduled to dedicate some developing projects in his constituency, Varanasi which cost over Rs 900 crore. There, foundation stone will be laid down for Panchkoshi Parikrama Marg and several projects under the Smart City Mission and Namaami Gange. Other important projects include the Varanasi City Gas Distribution Project and the Varanasi-Ballia EMU train. International Convention Centre can also witness the next stage once the foundation stone will be laid down by PM Modi.
