Prince Harry reportedly declined an invitation from King Charles to stay at a royal residence during his recent visit to the UK, suggesting that his father was too busy to meet him. According to reports, the Duke of Sussex turned down the invitation due to concerns about security. Harry was in London for three nights to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games but did not meet with his father, despite earlier reports suggesting they had a meeting scheduled. Instead, both father and son engaged in separate engagements. The publication noted that Charles had offered his younger son a stay at a royal residence, as Harry no longer has an official UK home. This could have provided an opportunity for them to spend time together. However, Harry declined, opting to stay in a hotel to maintain privacy and due to security concerns, The report added. Royal residences are heavily guarded with armed officers, but Harry was reportedly more concerned about his security outside these properties. He is said to be upset about losing his automatic police protection, which complicates any reconciliation with his father. When Harry visits the UK, he must give at least 28 days' notice, including all travel details, for security assessments. Most of his requests have been denied, except for trips related to royal events such as the Coronation. In February, Harry received a police escort from Heathrow to Clarence House to meet the King after Charles was diagnosed with cancer. However, he did not have protection when traveling from the residence to his hotel. According to the report, Harry feels unable to bring his wife and children to the UK because he cannot ensure their safety. He is frustrated that his offer to pay for his own security has been rejected.
