Prithvi Shaw disappointed at not being selected for Ireland tour, makes an emotional post

New Delhi: After the five-match T20 series against South Africa, Team India is scheduled to play a two-match T20 International series on June 26 and 28 on the tour of Ireland, for which a 17-member T20 squad has been announced. Young opening batsman Prithvi Shaw has not been included in this team. Prithvi played his last match for the Indian team in July 2021, since then he has been out of the team. And now Prithvi has posted a post on social media after being ignored by the selectors himself for the Ireland tour as well. Prithvi Shaw has posted an emotional post on Instagram after the team was selected for the Ireland tour.

Prithvi captioned the post as, "Don't give up, your miracle is on the way. Let me tell you that Shaw played for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2022. He had scored a total of 283 runs for Delhi in 10 matches last season at a strike rate of 153. Prithvi Shaw had scored a fifty off 56 balls in the second innings on Thursday, the third day of the Ranji Trophy 2022 semi-final match, a day after the team selection for the Ireland tour. He scored 64 off 71 balls. In it, he hit 12 fours.

The young batsman has played a total of five Tests, six ODIs and one T20 International for India so far. During the IPL, Shaw has shown how dangerous he can prove to be as an opening batsman in the T20 format. Shaw has played a total of 63 matches in the IPL so far and has scored 1588 runs at an average of 25.21 and a strike rate of 147.45 during this period.
