Biopics are beyond doubt the latest craze in Bollywood and it also seems to be effective in favor of filmmakers and actors. From prepping for the real-life characters that will be portrayed on the big screen to learning new skills in order to nail the roles perfectly. As per latest reports well-known South director, Revathy S.Varma who is eminently noted for her movies like 'June R' in Tamil and 'Maad Dad' in Malayalam, is making up his mind to make a biopic on the leading athlete and Olympian P.T. Usha. With a budget of a whopping Rs 100 crores, the movie is said to be a bilingual project and AR Rahman has been signed to compose music for the biopic. Reports further suggest that Priyanka Chopra has been in talks with the filmmaker to essay the ostensible role in the movie. Her last biopic was also based on sports where she played the role of the wrestler Mary Kom and received enormous great compliments for her effortless screen presence. Speaking to a leading daily, Revathy said, "I have been working on the biopic for the last few years. It wasn't easy to convince P.T. Usha. Each time I approached her, she said the time wasn't right! She wanted to see an Indian with a gold medal in athletics in the Olympics, only after which she was ready to say 'yes' to the biopic. I somehow persuade her and we signed the agreement six months ago." read also Janaraksha Yatra LIVE updates: Adityanath attacks on Govt. of Kerala, Bengal, Tripura I can’t play a typical bahu on the small screen:Gracy Singh U-17 Indian Goalkeeper reveals the sacrifices made by him to reach to this level.
