'BJP government slaps pockets of common man, kicked on people's stomachs'

New Delhi: The Congress party is targeting the Modi government over the ongoing protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the rising inflation rates. On Tuesday morning, Congress Party National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and former Union Minister P. Chidambaram targeted the Modi government by tweeting. Priyanka Gandhi wrote in her tweet that, 'The BJP government has cut the pocket and kicked it on the stomach of a common man'. P. Chidambaram surrounded the government through data.

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra tweeted on Tuesday morning that, 'Prices of vegetables and food items are getting out of reach of common people. Will the poor eat when vegetables, oil, pulses and flour become expensive? The poor are not getting work because of the recession from above. The BJP government has cut its pockets and kicked it on the stomach.' Priyanka Gandhi is continuously attacking the Narendra Modi government at the center and the Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh through social media.

The veteran Congress leader and former finance minister P. Chidambaram also attacked the central government on the issue of inflation. He wrote, 'The circle of incomplete management is now complete. Narendra Modi's government had started inflation rates from 7.39% in July 2014, now in December 2019, this figure has again increased to 7.35%.' He further wrote, 'Food and drink has gone up by 14.12%, vegetable prices have gone up by 60%, onion is being sold at Rs 100 / kg, this is what the BJP promised for good days.'
