Director said this about ponniyin cellvan

The famous music composer and singer AR Rahman of Tollywood has no one who does not know in today's time. He often rules in the hearts of discussions and fans for more than one song. Mani Ratnam's upcoming multilingual historical film Ponniyin Cellvan, which is an adaptation of Kalki Krishnamurthy's fictional historical novel by the same name, is arguably one of the most awaited films of the decade. It is no doubt that the cast and crew will face tremendous pressure to give their best as the film is expected to be nothing short of a masterpiece.

According to media reports, Oscar-winning music director AR Rahman, who is composing the background score and soundtrack for Ponnian Selvan, recently reported in an interview with a news agency that Ponniyin Selvan is probably his toughest film. According to a news agency report, the famous musician said, "This is an epic film and it requires a lot of work and research. We worked on music for about six months. We also went to Bali to write some songs. He ( Mani Ratnam) wanted a special sound that was unique, but at the same time reliable and we had to work really hard to get the sound. This is probably my hardest film. "

Jointly produced by Laika Productions and Mani Ratnam's Madras Talkies, Ponniyin Selvan's huge star cast includes Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayaram, Trisha, Karthi, Jayanthi Ravi, Arjun Chidambaram, Lal and Aishwarya Laxmi. The film is being produced in 2 parts, and the first, which is currently under construction, is expected to be released in early 2021.
