PUC certificate charges revised in Haryana

Saturday, Haryana Cabinet amended the fee to be charged for issuing PUC certificate and permitted a proposal to amend Haryana Motor Vehicles Rules, 1993 (Pollution) to set up more pollution checking centre’s. According to officials Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar headed the decision.

The revised rates of issuing Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificates in respect of various vehicles will be on the pattern of Delhi.

As per official release, For two-wheelers certificate, one will have to pay a fee of Rs 50. Owners of three and four wheelers of Petrol, CNG or LPG will pay Rs 80 and diesel vehicles would pay Rs 100 for the certificate. According to amendment, the PUC certificate will be issued by a Pollution checking centre authorized by the Transport Commissioner.

No premises will be used as a pollution checking centre unless valid authorisation has been obtained from the Transport Commissioner.Transport Commissioner can charge a penalty of Rs 2,000 in case of violation of any of the terms and conditions of the grant of authorisation, the release said.
