The vaccination campaign against the Covid-19 virus in the country is going to be launched on 16th January. Four days ago, the first consignment of the Serum Institute of India's Covishield vaccine has been sent to 13 cities on Tuesday. In the meantime, CM V Narayanasamy of Puducherry has written a letter to PM Narendra Modi requesting the leaders, ministers and MLAs to give the vaccine in the first phase. In his letter, CM V Narayanasamy of Puducherry said, "I have demanded Prime Minister Narendra Modi to allow leaders, ministers and MLAs of political parties to vaccinate in the first phase to instil confidence in the vaccine among the people." Covishield is one of two Covid-19 vaccines in India, which have been approved for emergency use authority. Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that on Tuesday, 4 airlines have delivered 56.5 lakh doses of coronavirus vaccines from Pune to 13 cities in the country. The vaccines have also been worshipped before leaving the Serum Institute. In addition to the spice, GoAir, Indigo and Air India aircraft are also working to deliver vaccines. India's PM Narendra Modi had earlier said that about 3 crore health workers and frontline workers are going to be vaccinated in the first phase of vaccination. He said that in the second phase, people above 50 years of age will be vaccinated.
