Puducherry Lt Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan among others extend Onam greetings to Keratitis

Puducherry Lieutenant Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan on Friday extended greetings to Keratitis on the eve of the Onam festival. In her message, Soundararajan, who is also the Telangana Governor, said Onam is not only a mere festival but promotes and celebrates love, brotherhood, humane qualities and fraternity. She wished the people, particularly the Malayalee population a happy, prosperous and bright festival. Chief Minister N Rangasamy also wished the people particularly those in Mahe, an enclave of Puducherry in Kerala.   Territorial Ministers A Namassivayam, K Lakshminarayanan and Chandra Priyanga and leaders of various political parties extended their Onam greetings.

Earlier in the day, Kerala Governer Arif Kahan greeted the Keralites:  ''The celebration of Onam rekindles the splendid legacy of a life of equality, oneness and prosperity, filling minds and homes with the celestial joy of festivity. I sincerely wish that the melody, beauty and sparkle of Onam spread across the globe as Kerala's unique message of love, equality and harmony. 'I convey my heartiest Onam greetings to the people of the state and other Keralites all over the world,''

Keralites across the world on Saturday will celebrate the main celebration day Thuru Onam, a festival connected with the return of King Mahabali, under whose reign everyone lived in happiness and equality.
