Punjab Goverment gives Ok report to 'PADMAVATI'

 

There is a good news coming from Punjab for Padmavati, The most controversial film of the era and with the filmmaker get into the difference of opinion with Karni Sena to the death threats to those part with the film to a ban on the film's screening problems have not just seemed to end for Padmavati.And while the film has been getting much support from the people, even celebrity have either supported or opposed the fils release. However, West Bengal was in support of the film’s screening, and now joining the state in the film’s support in Punjab.Punjab CM Amarinder Singh on Saturday makes it clear that he would not stop the release of the most controversial film Padmavati in the state. CM Amrinder also repeats his commitment to providing a level playing field to all media house in the Punjab.

In his inaugural address at the two-day national media conference being organised by The Tribune Employees Union, Chandigarh in coordination with the Confederation of Newspaper and the News Agency Employees Organisation, the CM unconditionally disapproved the threats against the makers of Padmavati as wrong.He said the state governments concerned should have acted against those issuing such threats. "Such people should have been locked up," he stressed.

"It's a free country, with free business opportunity for all," he said, adding it was the responsibility of the producers to ensure that history "is projected in its correct perspective"."While different historical perspectives can be there, any attempt to completely falsify historical facts cannot be tolerated," he added.
