Punjab Police Seize 10.4 kg of Heroin in Amritsar; Suspects Flee Scene

Amritsar: Punjab Police recovered 10.4 kg of heroin near Sukhewala village in Amritsar on Saturday, striking a significant blow to cross-border drug trafficking activities.

Amritsar's Counter Intelligence unit intercepted two suspicious vehicles near the village. According to the police, one of the suspects, Sukhraj Singh from Tarn Taran, fled the scene along with an unidentified accomplice in an SUV, while another car containing the drugs was seized on the spot.

A case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act against the absconding suspects. Authorities are intensifying efforts to locate and apprehend the individuals involved. Further details are awaited.
