Amritsar: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) veteran leader and Rajya Sabha member from Punjab Raghav Chadha on Friday (December 9) raised the important issue of devotees visiting Shri Kartarpur Sahib in Parliament. He enumerated the problems faced by the devotees going there during this period and also asked the House to take important steps for them. Actually, a passport is mandatory for the pilgrims going to Shri Kartarpur Sahib, along with this they also have to pay a certain fee. Chadha has demanded changes in these essential rules. AAP MP Raghav Chadha said that when the Shri Kartarpur Sahib Corridor was opened a few years ago, the whole world was shaded in the colors of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Raghav Chadha has said that every person wants to go there to visit Shri Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara, but the devotees have to face many problems. The first problem is a passport. You must have a passport. If you do not have a passport, you cannot visit Shri Kartarpur Sahib. The Government of India should take up this important issue with the Government of Pakistan. He said that the second problem is that every pilgrim has to pay a fee of $20, which is about Rs 1600, to go for darshan. If 5 members of the family want to go every year, then they will have to spend 8 thousand rupees for the year. This fee collection should be stopped so that the devotees can go to Shri Kartarpur Sahib comfortably.
