Rahane's staggering statement on Test captaincy

Ajinkya Rahane's captaincy, which won the Test series from 2-1 to the Indian team in Australia, is being praised everywhere. In the first Test match played in Adelaide, the Indian team had gone out for just 36 runs in the second innings against Australia. The Australia team had taken a lead of 1-0 in the series by beating India by 8 wickets within two and a half days.

The same Virat Kohli had returned to India by leaving the Test series against Australia, but Ajinkya Rahane, who captained Kohli, crossed the Australian mind game and revived the team. The Indian team made a great comeback in Melbourne in Rahane's captaincy. Ajinkya Rahane led the Indian team's front and scored a tremendous century in Melbourne. Rahane gave the Indian team a resounding victory over the Australia by 8 wickets.

Many former cricketers from India and abroad praised Ajinkya Rahane's captaincy and demanded him to be a permanent Test captain in place of Virat Kohli, but Rahane's side is totally different. Ajinkya Rahane says there is no dispute between him and Virat Kohli over captaincy. Rahane said, "There is no competition between me and Virat Kohli over captaincy in the test. When Virat is the captain, he intends to win the Indian team. When I became a captain, I also did what Virat Kohli used to do as captain.''
