Congress veteran Motilal Vora pass away, Rahul Gandhi expresses grief

New Delhi: Congress veteran Motilal Vora died today at the age of 93. Motilal Vora was undergoing treatment at Fortis Escort Hospital in Delhi due to poor health. Yesterday only was his birthday. It is being told that Motilal Vora was admitted to the hospital two days ago. Prior to this, he had also suffered from Corona. He was treated at that time in AIIMS, Delhi. He was cured after treatment and was discharged from the hospital.

All the Congress leaders have expressed their grief over his death. Rahul Gandhi wrote in his tweet that "Vora Ji was a true Congressman and a wonderful person. We will miss him a lot. My love and condolences to his family and friends." Veteran Vora ji has been the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and also the Governor of Uttar Pradesh. Motilal Vora was very special of the Gandhi family. Motilal Vora had been in charge of treasurer in the Congress for a long time. But in the year 2018, citing increasing age, Rahul Gandhi handed over the responsibility of Treasurer from Motilal Vora to Ahmed Patel. However, he has also died now.

Motilal Vora was working as a journalist before coming to politics. Motilal Vora worked in the Congress Party organization for a long time. He was considered loyal to the Gandhi family. In 1993 Motilal Vora took charge as the Governor of Uttar Pradesh and for 3 years he was the Governor of UP. Along with this, Vora has also held the position of a cabinet minister in the central government.
