Rahul Gandhi reaches ED office amidst heavy security

NEW DELHI: After being called in connection with the National Herald case, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi arrived at the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office in the national capital on Monday amid heavy security.

In and around the ED office on Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Road, there was a large police presence. Several Congress workers accompanied him as he exited the party's headquarters at 24 Akbar Road. The police, on the other hand, refused to let them go any further, and only Rahul Gandhi was allowed.  Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the Congress leader's sister, was also present.

Hundreds of Congress workers arrived at the Congress headquarters earlier in the morning to accompany Rahul Gandhi in his planned march to the ED office.  The party workers raised slogans against the central government while carrying placards.

The police detained some members of the party as a precaution. The traffic police also issued a warning to the public, advising them to stay away from key areas where the march was scheduled to pass.
