Agriculture Bill: Rahul's attacks center, says Modi govt is making salve to farmers'

New Delhi: Opposition parties are constantly targeting the government over bills relating to farmers, calling it anti-farmer and anti-agriculture. Now, former Congress national president Rahul Gandhi has questioned the Modi government over the Kisan Bill. Rahul Gandhi has alleged that PM Modi is making farmers "slaves" of capitalists.

Amidst the Rajya Sabha debate on the Kisan Bill, Rahul Gandhi tweeted from his official Twitter handle Sunday, "The Modi government's anti-farm 'black law' allows farmers to: 1. APMC/2018 How will the MSP get at the end of the farmer market? 2. Why not guarantee MSP? Modiji is making farmers "enslaved" to capitalists and country will never allow it to succeed."

Earlier, Rahul Gandhi, MP from Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency in Kerala, wrote in a tweet, "The farmer has lost faith in the Modi government as modiji's words and deeds have been going on from the beginning. Demonetisation, wrong GST and heavy taxes on diesel. The awakened farmer knows that the Agriculture Bill will boost the Modi government's trade of its 'friends' and stab the farmer's livelihood.
