Rahul Gandhi to Hold Vijay Sankalp Rally in Nuh as Haryana Election Campaign Ends

Nuh, Haryana: As the Haryana Assembly elections draw near, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is set to hold two major public meetings today, marking the final day of campaigning before voters head to the polls on October 5.

Rahul Gandhi will begin his campaign with a Vijay Sankalp rally in Nuh, followed by a second gathering in Mahendragarh. With voting just days away, leaders from all major political parties, including BJP, Congress, JJP, INLD, AAP, and BSP, are making their final efforts to gather support.

Nuh has been a focal point in recent months due to the riots that took place in July-August 2023. The Congress candidate for the Nuh constituency is Aftab Ahmed, who won the seat in the 2019 Haryana Assembly elections. On the other hand, the BJP has fielded Sanjay Singh, who previously contested the Sohna seat.

Commenting on Rahul Gandhi's visit, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said, "Now we hear that Rahul Gandhi, who made anti-reservation remarks abroad, is coming to Haryana for a political tour. Haryana is a wonderful place, and the BJP government has made significant progress over the last decade. He can visit, but it's just tourism for him."

Saini also remarked, "The youth of Haryana will ask him why he remains silent on the 'Kharchi, Parchi' that took place during Hooda's rule. The Dalits will question him about his opposition to reservation. Farmers will ask about their lands, and the women will wonder why he is avoiding Himachal after making promises there. Rahul Gandhi must answer these questions."

Haryana's election for its 90-member state legislative assembly will take place on October 5, with results expected on October 8. In the previous 2019 elections, the BJP emerged as the largest party with 40 seats, while Congress secured 30.
