New Delhi: In the criminal defamation case related to the statement of 'Modi surname', former Congress National President Rahul Gandhi has also received a setback from the Sessions Court in Surat, Gujarat. The Sessions Court has rejected the application for a stay on Rahul Gandhi's conviction. Rahul Gandhi will challenge this matter in the High Court today. Let us tell you that the lower court sentenced Rahul Gandhi to two years in jail in the defamation case. Had Rahul Gandhi been relieved by the Sessions Court, his membership in the Lok Sabha could have been restored. After not getting relief from the sessions court, Rahul Gandhi has now changed his decision regarding the bungalow as well. Rahul will vacate the bungalow completely by Saturday. He has already taken most of his face to the bungalow of his mother, i.e., Sonia Gandhi. He was waiting for the decision of the Surat court to vacate the bungalow completely. Rahul Gandhi was given a notice to vacate the bungalow on March 27. The Lok Sabha Housing Panel has fixed the deadline for Rahul Gandhi to vacate the bungalow until Sunday. This bungalow was given to Rahul Gandhi in 2005. He had lived in this bungalow for the last 19 years. Rahul Gandhi will now live with his mother, Sonia Gandhi, at 10 Janpath.
