Jhansi: A joint rally of the India Alliance was held today in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, where former Congress President Rahul Gandhi and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav participated. Addressing the rally, Rahul Gandhi praised the workers of the alliance, comparing them to lions, stating that while lions usually live alone in the forest, thousands of lions of the India Alliance are together. Akhilesh Yadav added that the BJP's popularity is declining, and the people of Jhansi are gearing up to bid farewell to the BJP. Rahul Gandhi criticized the central government, accusing them of neglecting the people during the COVID-19 pandemic. He alleged that while thousands of people died due to COVID-19, the government was busy with superficial activities like clapping and lighting lamps. He accused the BJP of attempting to dismantle the Constitution and warned that without the Constitution, the poor of the country would have no protection. He pledged to protect the Constitution and ensure the welfare of the poor. Rahul Gandhi further promised to waive off loans of the poor and create millions of millionaires if the India Alliance comes to power. He announced plans to deposit money into the bank accounts of the poor, create job opportunities for the youth, and ensure financial security for every family. Rahul Gandhi assured the crowd that the India Alliance would work to improve the lives of farmers, youth, and women, promising to put money in their pockets and bank accounts.
