Rahul Gandhi's team targets journalist of this news channel

The case of misbehavior with India Today journalist Rohit Sharma by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi's team in America has created a big controversy. Since then, there has been a continuous series of criticisms on Congress. In Delhi, journalists have submitted a memorandum to the central government regarding this matter and demanded action.

Attack by Rahul Gandhi's team: Congress workers attacked India Today reporter Rohit Sharma in Dallas. Sharma said that when he was interviewing Indian Overseas Congress President Sam Pitroda before Rahul Gandhi's US visit, Congress workers attacked him. Sharma had asked Pitroda whether Rahul Gandhi would raise the issue of attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh in a discussion with US lawmakers. The attack happened only after this question.

Police demanded action: After this attack on India Today's correspondent, journalists in Delhi submitted a memorandum to the central government. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, referring to this memorandum, said that he will send it to the Press Council of India so that legal action can be taken in this matter. Vaishnav said that Congress should also take action in this matter itself.

Accused of snatching mobile phone and keeping him in a locked room: Rohit Sharma also alleged that his mobile phone was snatched during the attack and he was asked to delete the interview. Sharma said that when Sam Pitroda left for the airport to meet Rahul Gandhi, he was locked in a room by about 15 people. After the incident, Pitroda called Sharma and apologized and promised to investigate the matter thoroughly.

Prime Minister Modi's reaction: Prime Minister Narendra Modi condemned the incident and took a dig at Rahul Gandhi's slogan 'Mohabbat ki Dukan'. During an election rally in Jammu, PM Modi said that Congress calls itself Mohabbat ki Dukan, but in America, Congress brutally treated an Indian journalist. He said that those who claim to be champions of freedom of expression are themselves involved in cruelty. This incident in America has raised a big question on Indian politics and media. Now it remains to be seen what legal and political steps are taken in this matter and how Congress reacts to this.
