Mentally weak woman fell in dry well, villagers found dead

Jaipur: A mentally ill woman from Paladi Ranavata Gram Panchayat in Jodhpur district of Rajasthan, fell into an old dry well situated outside the village on Monday afternoon. Due to which she died. After receiving information about the incident, the police and administrative team reached the spot and, with the help of villagers and crane took the dead body out of the well and sent it to the mortuary of the Government Hospital of Bhopalgarh. The post mortem was done.

Police station in-charge Magaram has told that Khetaram Bawri, resident of Todiana village in the area, reported to the local police that, his wife Shantidevi (48) had been mentally ill for a long time. Due to which, at around 2 pm on Monday, she exited the house without telling him and fell into a 200-feet deep well in a deserted area about 1 km from the village.

After this, when her husband Khetaram reached home from his farm at around 4 pm, he could not find his wife at home. On which the husband Khetaram searched for her, her footprints were found going towards the well outside the village. On which Khetram called other people from the village and reached the well. In this regard, it was also reported to the police station. After receiving the information, Asop Police Officer Magaram and ASI Punaram reached the podium with the police team.
