Speaking to the media, the District Magistrate of Hanumangarh said, "Both the parties are accused in this incident. Some people try to take advantage of the opportunity. The Administration takes immediate action. We have registered a case from both sides. Seven attackers have been detained. Internet will be started when the condition is normal. There is complete peace on the spot. We have conducted flag marches with many officials. There is the deployment of the police force from place to place. Today is the meeting of the Shanti Committee at 2 pm in which we will try to create an atmosphere of trust between the two communities.''

Earlier a Hindu youth was killed in Bhilwara in Rajasthan. The next day, the VHP leader was attacked in Hanumangarh. Following the attack, the BJP accused the Ashok Gehlot government in Rajasthan of appeasement. Union Minister of State Kailash Chaudhary wrote on Facebook, "The congress' appeasement politics is increasing the incidents of communal violence in the state. At the same time, criminals are also getting rid of them. The assault on the youths at Nohar in the Hanumangarh district by the President of Vishwa Hindu Parishad for stopping them from molesting women is sad and condemnable. Strict action should be taken against all the accused in this incident.''
