Jaipur: The Congress government led by CM Ashok Gehlot in Rajasthan has taken a big decision towards inclusive development of minorities. The Gehlot government has approved the creation of a development fund of Rs 100 crore for the minorities of the state. On Monday, CM Gehlot flagged off a revised proposal to spend Rs 98 crore 55 lakh for various schemes of the Development Fund.
According to the proposal, 50 lakhs for skill development of minority community people, 1 crore 25 lakhs for marketing promotion and help to minority craftsmen, 21 crores 80 lakhs for setting up English medium residential school in Jaipur, employment to minority people and Rs. It is proposed to spend Rs 2 crore for training of international language, Rs 5 crore for construction of graveyards on Waqf land or public land, boundary walls in madrasas and schools.
In the revised proposal of the Congress government itself, 58 lakh for setting up e-learning classrooms in 15 government minority hostels, 44 crore for providing basic facilities in minority-dominated settlements, 5 crore for interest subsidy on loan under Indira Gandhi Urban Credit Card Scheme, Maulana 2 crore for setting up research center for minorities at Azad University, Jodhpur, Rs 15 crore 42 lakh for solar pump subsidy scheme to minority farmers and Rs 1 crore for Minority Scholar Yuva Protsahan Yojana.
