The Rajasthan government has said that women will be given the assistance of Rs 6 thousand on the birth of the second child. For better health of mother and maintenance of other children, the state government has launched Indira Gandhi Mere Nutrition Scheme. In her statement, Women and Child Development Minister Mamta Bhupesh said that Rs 225 crore will be spent in 5 years for adequate relief and nutrition to mothers. Under this scheme, 3.75 lakh women are proposed to be benefited. As a pilot project, this scheme is initially being run in the tribal districts of Udaipur, Dungarpur, Banswara and Pratapgarh. Indicators of nutrition of women in these districts are less than the medicines of the state. Because of this, the scheme has been started in these districts. The pilot project, about 45 crore rupees will be spent every year involving 75 thousand beneficiaries. Under this scheme, 6 thousand rupees will be given to the mother at different stages after the second child is born. This amount will be deposited in their account. The aim of the government is that the mother can nurture herself and the child properly.
