Alwar: Bhiwadi police in Alwar district of Rajasthan achieved a major breakthrough on Monday night. They arrested four smugglers, including 229 kgs of ganja. The operation has been led by the FoolBagh police station Incharge Jitendra Singh Solanki in the Chopanthe police station area. In the guise of paper, the consignment of hemp was being loaded into the truck and transported. The police arrested four accused Jacob, Charan Singh, Deepa Singh and Nadeem. They are being interrogated by the police. Smugglers were continuously doing business of hemp smuggling in Delhi NCR. 30 packets were confiscated from the accused. Bhiwadi Superintendent of Police Ramamurthy Joshi said that he had received information that large scale hemp from Orissa is being transported to neighbouring states including Haryana through the area of Rajasthan. The truck was seized on Monday night passing through the Chopanthe police station area. The truck consisted of 229 kg of hemp in different packets. The action is being seen as a major breakthrough in the smuggling of drugs in Rajasthan. The Bhiwadi police termed it as the biggest action so far in the Alwar district. The Chopanki police station area of Haryana is located on the border of Rajasthan and this is the only way to connect the Mewat, Haryana.
