Rajesh Khanna got married to 16-year-old Dimple Kapadia, This actress was with him during his last Breath

Rajesh Khanna needs no introduction. He is the superstar of the era. He has given several blockbuster films in Bollywood. He always remains in news for his personal and professional life. His professional life was full of achievements meanwhile her personal life was traumatic. He always remained in news for his love affairs.

Rajesh Khanna and Anju Mahendru

Rajesh Khanna’s name was associated with many actresses but his first love was actress Anju Mahendru. When the two met, Anju was a struggling actress while Rajesh Khanna was a superstar.. It is said that both were in a live-in relationship from 1966 to 1972 i.e. for about 7 years. Rajesh Khanna wanted Anju to marry her but she kept refusing to do so. Rajesh got angry with this and in the year 1972, both of them parted their ways. Anju once told that the thinking of both did not match. He wanted Anju to give up her career while she did not want to do so and this led to quarrels between the two and their relationship did not last long. Rajesh Khanna once said that Anju did not have time for him, due to which he used to feel lonely.  After their Break up they did not talk for 17 years.

Rajesh Khanna married Dimple Kapadia in the year 1973, at that time Dimple's debut film Bobby was not even released. Dimple Kapadia was a huge fan of the actor. Rajesh Khanna got married to Dimple Khanna when she was 16 and he was 31. After living happily for years. Rajesh fell in love with another young budding actress Tina Munim. The actress worked with Kaka in over 11 films and being a great admirer. It was during the 80s when the stories of Kaka and Tina's romance started doing the rounds. After this Dimple left Rajesh Khanna in 1984 and later admitted that getting married to the superstar was a wrong call.

During the last days of the veteran actor Rajesh and Anju, his first love reunite. Rajesh Khanna breathed his last holding Anju's hand Rajesh Khanna passed away in the year 2012 when she was with him. Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt told, 'When I came to know about Rajesh Khanna's demise, I went to meet her at night because I knew she would be upset. I came to know that in the last years of Rajesh, both had come together and Anju often took care of his medicines and accompanied him to the hospital. After Rajesh Khanna's death, Mahesh told that holding back her tears, Anju had told him, 'I have the satisfaction of holding his hand when he breathed his last.'
