“I took a couple of weeks off from other projects to prep for 'Stree'”, says Rajkumar Rao

Stree, the horror-comedy featuring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor is of a genre which is still not explored in the Indian cinema and if someone has tried than also the efforts have not witnessed much or can be said any appreciation. But Amar Kaushik, the director took a chance and seems like he is getting success as the first look released earlier in the day captured wonderful responses and for what the audience waiting is the trailer that is scheduled to release today at 8 PM.

Rao shared his experience with  Mumbai Mirror and said: “Once you sit on that chair, the coordination and reflexes are something else. You can cheat with a body double but I wanted to do everything and bought myself a sewing machine and hired a tailor in Mumbai to teach me how to sew. I also had a tailor guiding me on the sets in Chanderi”

Notably, the movie is set on some true events came into the light in Karnataka’s Chanderi for which trained himself to speak in the Chanderi dialect. He expressed: “I took a couple of weeks off from other projects to prep for 'Stree'. We finished the shoot in one go. The horror-comedy genre while unexplored in our country has a huge audience,”

His co-actor, Shraddha who is working for the first time with his left a great impression over actor as he appraised her as “She’s phenomenal, a hard-working actor who will surprise everyone! She’s a very sweet girl and now a dear friend.”

Meantime, the actor is busy in promotional spree for Fanney Khan along with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anil Kapoor which is scheduled to release on 3rd August. Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga alongside Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, and Juhi Chawla will be his next project.
