Rajya Sabha MP Navjot Singh Sidhu resigns to BJP, probably join AAP

Former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu and the senior BPJ leader and nominated Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament resigned from the Parliament.

Sidhu, MP from Amritsar was asked to step down and make way for Arun Jaitley to fight from his constituency during the 2014 General Elections. 

He was recently appointed as Rajya Sabha MP. As per latest reports, sources close to Sidhu have told Reuters that he might be joining Aam Aadmi Party.

AAP has been campaigning in Punjab for the upcoming assembly elections in 2017.
