New Delhi: A day after the presentation of the General Budget, there was a huge uproar on the issue of farmers as soon as the proceedings of the Rajya Sabha started on Tuesday. Opposition MPs raised slogans to repeal anti-farmer black laws. Earlier, several opposition parties had given notice to demand to discuss the issue of farmers, but the Rajya Sabha president refused to discuss it today. After this, the opposition parties walked out of the House. The proceedings of the Rajya Sabha have been postponed till 10.30 am following the tremendous uproar by the opposition over the peasant movement during the Question Hour. Rajya Sabha President and Vice President Naidu said that there was a discussion in the House about agricultural laws. There is a misconception that there was no discussion in Parliament about agricultural laws. He said that people may have their own arguments regarding voting, but every party had participated in the discussion and gave its suggestions. He said that the record of discussion can be kept before you. Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu said that the Honorable President had referred to the peasant movement in his address. I wanted to start the discussion from today, but I was told that according to tradition, the discussion will first start in the Lok Sabha. Keeping this in mind, we have agreed to discuss the President's address on Wednesday.
