New Delhi: Upper House Deputy Chairman Harivansh to observe one-day fast against the unruly behaviour with him in the House by Opposition MPs during the passing of agriculture Bills on 20th September. He wrote a letter to the Minister saying that he was in mental anguish because of the behaviour of the MPs and could not sleep all night. He wrote in the letter, "What happened in the Rajya Sabha because of this I'm in deep self-esteem, stress and mental anguish for the past two days. I couldn't sleep all night". Harivansh further said, "There was a violent behaviour in the name of democracy on behalf of the members of the House. There was an attempt to frighten the person sitting on the pedestal. Every decorum and system of the Rajya Sabha was blown up. In the house, the members tore the rule book. Threw at me". The deputy chairman wrote, "The paper was rolled from the bottom and thrown on the pedestal. Aggressive behaviour, ugly and unparliamentary slogans were raised. That is why I could not sleep. I am a village man, I have been coined by literature, compassion and values". In the morning, Harivansh had reached the parliament premises with tea for the suspended MPs who were staging a dharna, after which they have decided to keep fast today.
