Author turned director Ram Kamal Mukherjee is on cloud nine as he and his film is getting a number of awards. The filmmaker who received fame from his Hindi film 'Season's Greetings' is now getting praise for his next release 'Ricksawala'. The film 'Rickshawala' is selected and awarded at many prestigious film festivals. Filmmaker Ram Kamal Mukherjee is also awarded as the Best Director International for his film 'Rickshawala' at Global Film and Music Festival in Virginia. He was nominated with other famous directors from France, Iran and Australia. The film ‘Rickshawala’ features Avinash Dwivedi, Sangita Sinha and Kasturi Chakraborty in the lead roles. Cinematographer Modhura Palit captured the essence of Kolkata beautifully through her lenses. The film is produced by Aritra Das, Sarbani Mukherjee and Shailendra Kumar. Pallavi Nandan has designed the concept of the teaser poster. Excited director Ram Kamal dedicated this award to his team and all those migrants facing unemployment issues in India. Talking about his film, the talented filmmaker said, "I am very happy that the audience and jury members like this film so much. This was one the toughest film to execute and I am glad that we managed to do it rightly."
