Many TV shows are being re-released during the Coronavirus lockdown. They are also liked by the audience. Children who grew up in the 90s, are reliving their memories through these shows. In our report, we will tell you about some of the shows of the 80s and 90s, which are re-telecast on TV. Ramayan Ramanand Sagar's popular TV show 'Ramayana' which first aired on Doordarshan from 1987 to 1988 is based on the great Hindu epic 'Ramayana'. Amidst the coronavirus lockdown, the show has been aired again since March 28 with Doordarshan gaining popularity among the audience. Mahabharata The show 'Mahabharata' produced by BR Chopra was the first telecast between 1988 and 1990. But amidst Corona lockdown, the serial has once again aired on Doordarshan. Shaktiman 'Shaktimaan' was an Indian superhero TV series in which Mukesh Khanna played the role of Shaktimaan. It is currently re-aired between Corona Lockdown. Malgudi Days 'Malgudi Days' was a show based on the story of RK Narayan. This show by Kannada actor and director Shankar Nag was based on people living in the small town of Malgudi. Zubaan Sambha ke This popular comedy show featured stars like Pankaj Kapoor, Viju Khote, Shobha Khote and Tom Alter. Byomkesh Bakshi In the early 90s, Rajit Kapoor appeared in the role of Bengali spy 'Byomkesh Bakshi'. Chanakya 'Chanakya' was the advisor to King Chandragupta Maurya. In this show based on his life, Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi played the role of 'Chanakya'. Hum Log 'Hum Log' serial revolves around the life and times of the middle-class family. It was first telecast on Doordarshan on 7 July 1984. Alif Laila Ramanand Sagar's show 'Alif Laila' was first telecast from 1993-1997. The show was well-received by the audience. Chandrakanta The show featured Shikha Swarup as Princess Chandrakanta and actor Shahbaz Khan as Kunwar Virendra Vikram Singh. The serial was telecasted on Doordarshan between 1994 and 1996. Buniyad After independent India, the serial 'Buniyaad', based on the hopes and aspirations of millions of Indians, was one of the favourite shows of the audience. The show ran for a year on Doordarshan during 1986–1987. Hum Paanch This serial based on five sisters was also a favourite of people. Bollywood actress Vidya Balan also appeared in this serial.
