Renowned actors of Hindi cinema Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starer 'Gully Boy' have dropped out of the race for the Oscar. The film was officially sent by India for the 92nd Academy Awards. The entry of 'Gully Boy' was made in the category of Best International Feature Film at the Oscars. On Monday, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences released the top 10 list of the Best International Feature Film, in which the name 'Gully Boy' does not exist. These films appeared in the top 10 list - The Painted Bird, Truth and Justice, Les Misérables, Those Who Remained, Honeyland, Corpus Christi, Beanpole, Atlantics, Parasite and Pain & Glory. 'Gully Boy' was sent for an Oscar from India after a fight with films like 'Uri- The Surgical Strike', 'Kesari', 'Badhaai Ho', 'Article 15' and 'Andhadhun'. The film is directed by Zoya Akhtar while its producers are Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. The story of the film is inspired by slum rappers Divine and Neji. Ranveer Singh is playing the role of a rapper though Alia Bhatt is his girlfriend.
