GUWAHATI: Tata Group Chairman Ratan Tata is known for his simple nature. Something similar has been seen on Thursday when at an event in front of PM Narendra Modi, Ratan Tata apologised for not speaking in Hindi. In fact, it so happened that Ratan Tata and PM Modi had reached Assam to inaugurate seven cancer centres. On this occasion, both PM Modi and Ratan Tata addressed the event. In the same sequence, when Tata got up to deliver the address, he already apologized. Tata said he was not comfortable speaking Hindi, so he would speak in English. "I can't give a speech in Hindi, so I will try to communicate with all of you in English. But what I say will be a message from the heart. Ratan Tata further said that with these facilities, Assam will be known for providing cancer treatment globally. At the same time, Tata said that he has dedicated the last years of his life to the field of health. "Today is a very important day in the history of Assam. The high-level health facility for cancer treatment which was not present in the state earlier is being brought here. Cancer is not a rich man's disease. ' At the same time, seven cancer centres were launched by PM Modi on this occasion, while he also laid the foundation stone of seven more centres during the event. The centres are being developed by the Assam Cancer Care Foundation (ACCF), a joint venture of the state government and Tata Trusts. Another three hospitals under the network will be opened later this year. Inaugurating the gathering, PM Modi said, "Today 7 new cancer hospitals have been launched in Assam. There was a time, the opening of a single hospital in 7 years used to be a matter of celebration. Now the times have changed. I am told that in a few months three more cancer hospitals will be ready to serve you.
