Realme's smartphones become so expensive

China's smartphone maker Realme has announced a 12-18 per cent increase in the prices of its smartphones. Along with this, the company has said that the government has increased the Goods and Services Tax (GST), after which this decision has to be taken. Earlier Xiaomi, Oppo and Poco have also made their smartphones expensive.

Tecno and itel are giving two months warranty

The increased prices of smartphones of all companies will be effective from April 1. First Reality has announced to extend the warranty of its phone in view of the lockdown in the country due to Coronavirus. Realme has extended the warranty of all its products till May 31. This warranty will include Realme's smartphones, smart bands, earbuds, earphones and power banks.

However, this warranty offer is only for those products whose warranty expired between March 20 and April 20. After the introduction of new GST rates from April 1, mobiles are getting expensive by 18 percent. If you understand this from an example, if the price of a phone is Rs 10,000, then the new GST rate will be applicable. After that, it will be priced at Rs 11,800.
