Applications are being accepted for the position of probationary officers at the State Bank of India. At the official website, sbi.co.in, interested candidates may submit an online application. The application period for candidates will run from September 22 through October 12, and the payment portal will be accessible during that same time. By the first or second week of December, the call letters for the preliminary examination will be accessible for download. The test will be divided into three phases, with the preliminary exams taking place from December 17 to 20 as the first phase. The official will also be qualified for DA, HRA/lease rental, CCA, medical, and other benefits according to the rules that are in effect at the time. The preliminary examination will have 100 questions for 100 marks, with 30 questions for English language proficiency, 35 questions for quantitative aptitude, and 35 questions for reasoning ability. The test will be conducted online and will be of an objective nature. Based on the total points earned in the preliminary exam, a merit list will be compiled by category. No sectional cut-off will exist. From the top of the aforementioned merit list, candidates whose numbers approximate ten times the number of openings in each category will be shortlisted for the main examination. The main exam will be given online and will consist of 50 descriptive questions and 200 objective questions worth 200 total points. The descriptive test will be given right after the objective test is finished. Candidates must use a computer to type their descriptive test responses. There will be 250 total marks for Phase II. Candidates who are selected for phase III will take a psychometric test for personality profiling. The interview panel will be presented with the test results while also getting a perspective on the applicants. A total of 50 points will be awarded for the group exercise and 30 points for the interview. Candidates must successfully complete both Phase-II and Phase-III in order to move on to the final selection.
