Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries Limited has topped the Fortune India-500 list for the second consecutive year, accounting for 7 percent of cumulative revenues and 11 percent profit of the companies featured. In the previous year, the Reliance conglomerate outpaced Indian Oil Corporation to make it to the top slot for the first time. The Fortune India 500 list is based on revenue and the figures this year pertaining to the fiscal year 2019-2020. In the list, 38 companies have been reported to clock revenues of more than Rs. 50,000-crore each that together account for nearly 60 percent of the total revenues this year, Fortune India said. . The manufacturing sector including 303 companies, accounted for 62 percent of the total revenue, and 76 percent of the total profit. The services sector, with 145 companies, contributed 33 percent of the total revenue and 19 percent of the total profit.
