Renault to unveil its first electric car at Auto Expo 2020

Renault India, the world's leading car manufacturer, is soon going to unveil its first electric car. This will be the entry level electric car of Reno. Reno officially released its teaser for the first time. Renault's electric car will be based on the entry-level hatchback Kwid. The company can launch it under the name of Renault City K-ZE . Reno showcased the concept version of this electric car at the 2018 Paris Motor Show. At the same time, this car was also spotted during testing in China. This zero emission vehicle was also showcased at the 2019 China Chengdu Motor Show in September last year.

You will get a chance to see this car for the first time on 5 February, the first day of Auto Expo 2020. However, this motor show will be open to the public on 7 February. The Renault K-ZE's design resembles the Kwid. The car will be manufactured by Renault's Chinese partner Dongfeng Motors. The performance-ready version of the electric version of the Kwid was first introduced at the Shanghai Motor Show in April 2019.

To attract customers, this new electric car from Reno is built on the K-ZE concept. Renault developed this car in association with Dongfeng Motors. Dongfeng Motors of China has an annual production capacity of 1 lakh 20 thousand units. It is made by EGT New Energy Automotive Company. It is a joint venture between Nissan and Dongfeng Motors, established in China for the development and manufacture of large-scale electric vehicles. The Reno K-ZE will also include several futuristic features. It will get LED headlamps with styling grille. Also, LED setup can be seen in the tail lamps. Fast charging feature will be available in this company. In China, this car has covered a distance of 271 km in single charging. The electric version of the Kwid is expected to have premium features like rear view camera, touch-screen infotainment system, rear AC vents, automatic AC etc. At the same time, the bumper will also be new and the body design will be different from the regular Kwid. The car is sold in 5 different trims and is priced between 61,800 yuan (Rs 6.36 lakh) and 71,800 yuan (about Rs 7.40 lakh) in China.
