New Delhi: The Road Safety World Series is going to start back. Last year, the tournament was a super hit and a large number of people came to the stadium to watch their favourite cricketer play. The last time the tournament was held in Raipur. Now its second version has also been announced. On Thursday, the organizers announced the dates of this tournament. This year, the tournament will begin on September 10 and continue for 22 days. The tournament will begin with a match in Kanpur. At the same time, this time the matches will be played in two more grounds of the country. Both the semi-finals and final will be held at Raipur ground. It has been told in the press release that matches will also be played in Indore and Dehradun for this tournament. Eight teams will feature in the tournament this year. Apart from India, New Zealand, West Indies, Australia, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Bangladesh and England teams are included. Only cricketers who have retired participate in this tournament. The Road Safety World Series is played with the aim of making people aware of road safety in the country and around the world. The tournament is supported by the Ministry of Transport, the Government of India and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and Sports. Former legendary cricketers like Brian Lara, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Shane Watson, and Ross Taylor will be seen spreading their magic in the tournament. In the last edition played in 2021, India Legends won. In the final, India defeated Sri Lanka by 14 runs. Sachin Tendulkar will be seen captaining India Legends in the tournament.
