Mumbai: Opening batsman Rohit Sharma of India's senior team has admitted that the under-19 team going for the World Cup is very strong and this team will do their utmost to defend their title in South Africa. At the time of the team's departure, Rohit greeted the players and also encouraged them. Apart from this, Rohit has said that there is no harm in playing big shots.

The 13th edition of the Under-19 World Cup is to be played among 16 teams. These teams have been divided into 4 groups. Priyam Garg will take charge of the Indian team. This World Cup will be played from January 17 to February 9. Team India has been placed in Group A along with Japan, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka. Two top teams from each group will qualify for the Super League stage.
