IPL 2021: Rohit Sharma breaks silence on defeat against RCB

New Delhi: Mumbai Indians' (MI) 's defeat in the opening match of the Indian Premier League (IPL), which started in 2013, continued this year as well. On Friday, the team of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeated Mumbai Indians by two wickets in the opening match of the 14th season of IPL. 

Rohit Sharma said that his team scored 20 runs less in this match and made some mistakes, due to which they had to face defeat. Rohit Sharma further said, "I think we tried well and kept challenging till the end. But with the bat, we scored 20 runs less. We also made some mistakes in this match". Rohit Sharma says that his team did not have much time to get to know each other. He said, "It may take time to get the rhythm. There are many new faces in the team. We did not have much time to get to know each other very well"

Let us know that Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians (MI) had scored 159 runs in 20 overs while batting first. After which RCB won at the last ball in a very exciting match. Since 2013, MI is facing defeat in the opening match. Rohit Sharma, however, was seen in good form in the first match. Rohit Sharma also hit the first four and the first six of the 14th season of IPL. But on the score of 19, Rohit Sharma had to return to the pavilion after a runout.
