After delivering blockbuster Simmba director Rohit Shetty collabrates with Akshay Kumar for Sooryavanshi. The end credits introduction of the character in Simmba had Akshay talking to Bajirao Singham who helps Simmba in the film. That sparked a lot of talk about the movie. Recently, there was buzz that Sooryavanshi will be a remake of a Tamil film called Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru. But director has squashed all the rumours saying that Akshay's cop drama will be absolutely original. Noted film critic and trade analyst took to Twitter and informed that Rohit Shetty clarifies that Sooryavanshi has not bought the rights of Sooryavanchi. He wrote,” Rohit Shetty clarifies: News that Rohit Shetty has bought rights of a #Tamil film for #Sooryavanshi is untrue and baseless... Akshay Kumar starrer #Sooryavanshi, produced and directed by Rohit Shetty, is an original story and not inspired from any film, the statement reads.” Rohit's previous blockbuster Simmba, starring Ranveer and Sara Ali Khan, was also adapted from a Tamil movie, Temper. Now the debate is on about who will play the female lead opposite Akshay in the film. Names from Katrina Kaif to Sonam Kapoor have been doing the rounds.
