RRR Box office: SS Rajamouli’s film created history in Japan, earned a whopping amount

'RRR' created history because of its 'Naatu Naatu' song. The film has won some of the most prestigious awards in the entertainment industry. The movie is breaking all the records at Box office. Not only in India but also in Japan the movie is doing very well and receiving very good reviews from people.

According to the information,  RRR starring Ram Charan and NTR Junior, will be making history today by crossing JPY 1 billion in Japan. The film surpassed this historic benchmark on the 122nd day of release. This makes it the first-ever Indian film to achieve this milestone in the country. Earlier Muthu was the highest-grossing Indian film in Japan for more than two decades with JPY 400 million.  However even after winning the  JPY 1 billion became feasible, which it has now accomplished. The film is still going strong and is likely to drop less than 30 per cent in its eighteenth week. If the film were to continue these holds, it will earn another JPY 150-200 million or so.

The movie is not only breaking the Box officer record but it is also getting recognition in Japan. RRR has been nominated for the esteemed "Best Foreign Language Film" category at the 46th Japan Academy Film Prize, alongside Hollywood films like Top Gun: Maverick, Spider-man: No Way Home, Avatar: The Way of Water, and CODA. The announcement of the winners is scheduled for March 10th.

Speaking of RRR, it is a fictional story set in the 1920s pre-independent era and is based on the lives of two real heroes and well-known revolutionaries – Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem. While Ram Charan played Ram, NTR was seen as Bheem. The film has grossed over Rs. 1200 crore worldwide during its theatrical run.
